We watched the Orioles beat the Red Sox 6-3 with a 10th inning, 3-run,
home run by Kevin Millar on August 12. See more photos.
We traveled to the Birmingham, MI near Detroit to see
Brain and Jen for the weekend. We packed a lot in just two
days. From the plane in Detroit, we saw parts of the Henry
Ford Museum, Greenfield
Village, Ford
Factory, and Woodward
Dream Cruise. On
Sunday, we hung out in the morning, ate pizza and cupcakes, returned
to the Greenfield Village, saw parts of downtown Detroit from 21
floors up, drove by the mansions in Grosse Point on Lake St. Clair,
and had a great fondue dinner at home. Jeff flew home Monday
morning. See more photos.
Betsi, Ryan and Ainsley rented a car and traveled
4 hours north to Elk Rapids to see Don, Michelle, Joseph and Sam. See more
photos.
Here's a weird picture of the moon when we were walking
home from a neighbor's house. I was surprised by the purple
sky and pink clouds. Since I didn't have a tripod, I changed
the ISO to 1600 and held it as steady as possible. The exposure
was almost 1/2 second long. A lens with image
stabilization (Canon) or vibration reduction (Nikon) would have made
the photo a bit clearer.
