Sardines

Putting the sardines into a water tank.

Betsi catches the first fish; a Blue Gar.

Lots of teeth.

After catching about 8 fish, we traveled to a nearby resort to filet and cook the fish for a 2:30pm lunch.

Relaxing in the sun as Clemiente cooks our lunch.

The view during lunch.

Fish with green and red peppers, onions, garlic, seasonings, and butter cooked on a BBQ grill.

Fish burrito, cole slaw, and potato salad. It was delicious.

The palapas are made from palm frawns. Half of the frawn goes on top of the horizontal support bar to hold it in place.

After dinner on our anniversary.

White Sands Cove sign.

Downtown San Pedro located 2.5 miles south of where we were staying. Most people have dial up internet access, so who knows how fast "high speed" really is?

Downtown San Pedro.

San Pedro had lots of all terrain golf carts. With all of the pot holes in the dirt roads, you needed all terrain.

All of the meals at all of the restaurants were excellent. Here is coconut shrimp in a black been BBQ sauce with shredded carrots as an appetizer for lunch.

Lunch in San Pedro at the Blue Water Grill.

Sleeping guard dog.

Michelle, Marilyn, and Marlon made our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

Hugo, our favorite bar tender at White Sands Cove.

Hugo showing off. :-)

Orion's belt is high in the sky in Central America. In Virginia, it's low on the horizon.

So many people raved about the pizza here that we had to try it. They were right. Their garlic shrimp pizza is amazing. The cheese is different.

Belize Municipal Airport for a day of cave tubing and riding on zip lines through the rain forest.

The runway at the municipal airport is a little too close to the water for my comfort level.

The mountain in the center looks like a portrait of someone's face. The chin is on the left and the nose is in the middle.
